This is my brother Mike. He is 4 years younger than me. He went into the Navy in 1976.

I'm proud of my brother for serving our Country. He went to boot camp in Illinois and from there he went to Navy school in San Diego CA. Then on to Sub school in New London CN.

He was assigned to the USS Thomas A Edison SSBN 610 out of Guam. A Nuclear Ballistic Missile Sub. And received his Submarine Qualification Badge. Click HERE to read about the USS Thomas A Edison and see some photos of his sub.

From there he was transferred to USS Somers DDG 34, a guided missile destroyer. Where he traveled throughout the Pacific. Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Kawajeleen, and Thailand. Click HERE for a list of those who served on the USS Somers. And HERE for great photos and info about the ship.

His ship went to dry dock for major repairs and he was assigned to the lose Galley in Hawaii for the remainder of his service. He was honorably discharged in June 1980.

He is now a great chef at the Wyndham Hotel in Andover MA. Where he has worked for the last 20 years.
